Fire Starters
We offer a range of fire starters and a basic fire starting survival kit.
Ferrocerium is a man-made metallic material that has the ability to give off a large number of hot sparks at 1650 °C (3000 °F) when scraped against a striker such as ridged steel. Because of this property it is excellent for use in emergency survival kits and for everyday use by hunters, hikers, campers and anyone who spends time in the outdoors. Our high quality ferrocerium fire starters work in the harshest of conditions. When wet, or even after being completely submerged, the starter will give you a reliable source of ignition every time.
Fire steels can be attached to most sheaths using our custom kydex fire steel holders.

Fire is life! Whether you are in the Australian Outback, the Alaskan Wilderness, or the Canadian Rockies, when things go wrong you need to have a reliable means of making fire. Matches get damp and lighters just fail to work when you need them most. A ferrocerium rod is the best means of carrying a reliable ignition source in any conditions, in any environment. A high quality rod permanently attached to your person can be a life saver! I carry mine in my pocket, attached to my belt by a lanyard and snap ring. If I get separated from the rest of my gear, I can always make fire. Our ferrocerium rods are of the highest quality and last for thousands of strikes. Good preparation is the secret to success. Be careful! Be safe! Enjoy the wilderness! |
